It’s a dangerous and confusing world out there. Full of books with faces and little birds constantly tweeting into the great internet void. Do you social media?
I’m more of a lurker on the internet, so I’ve never twittered, until now. Find my Tweets and twitters @jhdierking. If you’re more of the Facebook type, like the official J. H. Dierking page here, but be careful: if you gaze too long into Facebook, it may start gazing back into you. Faces do that.
I’m also on Goodreads, my favorite way to track books and authors. I highly recommend it if you are like me and have a to-read list a mile long. I can remember a lot of things but, for the life of me, when it comes to remembering a book recommended by a friend a month or a year ago—nope, it’s gone. Of course, you can also find me on Amazon where you can follow me for e-mail updates when a new book is released, which should be soon (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). And if you check me out Goodreads or Amazon, consider leaving a review to let others know how much you enjoy my work.
Finally, you might notice a new Contact tab on the menu at the top of my blog. Use it to shoot me a message about anything related to my books or blog. I would love to hear what you think of The Joining, or if there’s a particular first contact book, film, TV episode, etc. you would like to see featured in my first contact series, feel free to make a suggestion.
Do you like to use social media? If so, where are you most active? What is your favorite way to get updates from the authors you follow?
